Sebastian M. Ober LL.M.

Sebastian M. Ober was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1975. He studied law in Frankfurt am Main and in Konstanz. After graduation, he completed the master's program "IP Law and Mediation" at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. At the beginning of his professional career, from 2006, he first worked several years as in-house counsel for the German branch of the probably largest and best known environmental organisation whose global network is dedicated to the protection of nature and species. From 2012, Sebastian M. Ober then worked as a lawyer at a Frankfurt IP law firm. He joined HEINRICH PARTNER RECHTSANWÄLTE in the middle of 2017.

Sebastian M. Ober primarily provides legal advice in the area of trademark, design and competition law. He has special expertise in the area of trademark law, particularly the development of registration application strategies for building up a comprehensive property rights portfolio, and for the defence of famous trademarks. He is furthermore well versed in drawing up licence and sponsoring contracts. Moreover, he specialises in competition law and copyright law. He also has many years of experience in reviewing and designing advertising campaigns and is experienced in handling court disputes. He is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR).
